Using rag-rug techniques for artwork for walls and elsewhere - sometimes even for on the floor

Hi Everyone Here is my Bird Panel which will shortly be turned into a chair pad. Made in tubular cotton yarn, hooked with a small basic rug hook, it measures 45 x 39 cms (17.50 " x 15.50"). Happy Hooking - Jill www.jilltextileart.com
Love the delicate birds and the delicate colouring of this chair pad Jill - I am just sorry that it is going to be sat upon! It looks as if the cotton yarn makes a wonderful loop. Clare
Thanks for your comments Clare and yes the cotton is a wonderful yarn with which to hook through linen. It glides through beautifully! I love the variegation of this yarn which is space-dyed and named Wigwam; from Colinette in Wales.
Absolutely beautiful Jill. Love it
ReplyDeleteThanks Susana...hope all going well with you - exciting times ahead for you and your family x

DeleteI shall enjoy sitting on my cushion!
This is gorgeous, Jill! I love the irregular shape and the birds glow like stained glass!
